Precision-fit ORB Sport™ mouth guards, molded from your 3D scan by the practice that professional fighters like Gian Villante and Randy Brown trust with their teeth. Every guard also tracks heart rate, movement, and impact data during play.
Store-bought guards are bulky, loose, and hard to breathe around, which is why athletes stop wearing them, and why so many dental emergencies are sports injuries that a real guard would have prevented. A cracked tooth costs more than a decade of custom guards.
A custom guard starts from a 3D scan of your actual teeth: thinner where it can be, reinforced where impact lands, and secure enough to talk and breathe normally. Protection you will actually wear is the only kind that works.
Every guard starts with your scan and an exam, because a guard should protect a healthy bite, and grinding athletes often need a different appliance than they think.
“I’ve fixed too many teeth that a proper guard would have saved. Wear the good one.” Dr. Dave Broughton
A fast digital scan. No goopy impressions.
Your ORB Sport™ guard is fabricated to your scan, tuned to your sport.
Final fit check in the chair. Talk, breathe, hydrate, and take the hit.
UFC fighters Gian Villante and Randy Brown choose this practice for their dental care. When protecting teeth is a career requirement, the standard for a mouth guard is not “good enough from the sporting-goods aisle.”
“Dr. Dave and his team are truly the dental dynamic duo.”
Every treatment decision here starts with proof: the complete Proof Protocol™, your True Wellness Score™, and your Whole Mouth Blueprint. Plan on about 90 minutes.
Twelve reservations released each month. HMO plans (Medicaid, Healthfirst, Fidelis) can’t be used here; our Insurance & Financing page explains why. Additional services, if needed, are quoted in writing before treatment. Offer valid through 12/31/2026. David Broughton, DDS.
Because fit is the whole product. Loose guards get left out, bulky guards come out mid-game, and neither absorbs impact where your bite actually lands. Custom exists because emergency visits cost more.
Quoted at your visit, and modest next to a single chipped-tooth repair. Team and family scheduling is available; ask Donna or Jennifer.
As soon as contact is real. Growing mouths are re-scanned as they change; the scan takes minutes.
Heart rate, including a color-coded breakdown of time spent in each zone (personalized to your age and fitness level) and your minimum, maximum, and most active zone. Movement, shown as an intensity percentage, plus an estimate of distance traveled from your height, stride length, and step count. And impacts: total linear g-force in three directions, broken down by which side of the head absorbed them, so you can see left-versus-right differences over a session.
Difficulty is your own Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE): a 1-to-10 score you log after a session to reflect how hard it felt. Workload is calculated for you from duration, difficulty, and heart rate together, showing the overall stress your body was under during the session.
Most new patients learn something about their own mouth that no one ever told them. Yours is waiting in the scan.
